» Community Clinic

Our goal is to provide a caring environment where children can gain access to the highest level, state-of-the-art, medical and surgical care. Unfortunately, the children who usually need eye care the most are those usually unable to obtain it. This includes something as minor as needing glasses to requiring complex eye muscle surgery. In this clinic, we see patients who are underinsured, uninsured, or otherwise unable to pay for pediatric ophthalmology services. Fellows in pediatric ophthalmology staff the clinic with supervision.
This young boy showed with broken glasses held together with scotch tape because the family could not afford new glasses. The Foundation provided glasses at no charge. He and his parents were thrilled to get rid of the patched glasses.
Community Clinic
Sponsored in part by the Wright Foundation, we provide spectacles, therapeutic contact lenses, and even surgery for children in need.
